About Me
I am a native of central New Jersey, born and raised. I have always loved talking with people, teaching them life skills and helping them solve problems. I love to see people become empowered to soar through any challenges that life presents. Thus, both teaching and psychology were the perfect fit for me.
I am a mom of three adult men who inspire me every day to be better, to be more aware and to be more present in all interactions. My children have also taught me that "rest" is an activity!
About my practice
I love to work with pre-teens, adolescents, women and adults in the treatment of ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief, bereavement and mood disorders. My approach to treatment is cognitive behavioral and solution focused.
I try to foster a supportive, non-judgmental environment with built-in safety nets, where patients can ask questions, learn new skills and try a new approach to solving problems and dealing with distress.
How I thrive
I thrive in mind, body and spirit by maintaining a healthy balance between work, exercise, play and spiritual activities. I do not always do so perfectly, but then who does? I strive to always recalibrate whichever of the four is out of balance.
My hobbies include reading romance novels, trade magazines and the autobiographies of some of the world's most effective leaders. I also enjoy international travel, researching how couples resolve conflict in marriage, cooking gourmet meals for friends and family and taking long walks on commercial beaches.
