About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'd like to tell you a little about myself and my practice in the Kaiser Permanente Fontana OB/GYN department.

Biography

I am a fourth generation Californian, and grew up with a physician father and a nutritionist mother. After practicing as an RN for a few years and a brief try at school teaching, I studied medicine, completed an Ob/Gyn residency, practiced in Nairobi, Kenya for a year, and settled down at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana in 1982. I loved my practice, but wanted additional surgery training, and subsequently spent a year studying pelvic surgery on a gynecology/oncology service.

About my practice

Since my pelvic surgery fellowship, my practice has focused on gynecologic cancer, but not exclusively. I still enjoy general gynecology and obstetrics. With my cancer patients, I partner with our gynecologic oncologist to provide the best care possible. Caring for my patients provides a lot of inspiration, and I take pleasure in helping them through some of their difficult times.

How I thrive

I encourage members to improve their general well-being through proper health habits and especially through joy, fun and humor. I love practicing medicine, sometimes at the expense of balance in my life. But I try to remember to laugh, exercise, and eat my vegetables.
