About Me
Welcome to my Web page, and thank you for taking some time to learn more about my practice.
Biography
I grew up in Southern California and received my medical degree from Michigan State University. I completed my residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. I am board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I practiced at Wayne State University in Detroit as a clinical instructor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. I also practiced three years in the U.S. Navy, taking care of active-duty members and their families.
About my practice
I strongly believe in providing compassionate medical care to my patients that is based on evidence and current research. I like to learn as much as I can about my patients and provide explanations about their care in language that motivates and makes them feel in control. By educating my patients, I empower them to care and understand their medical, obstetric, or gynecologic condition and needs.
How I thrive
I stay well by keeping in touch with family and friends and joining them for dinner as much as I can. I also enjoy Pilates, lap swimming, reading by the ocean, and walking my dog every evening. Seeing and being near the ocean and mountains grounds me and brings peace to my heart and mind every day.
