About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and provide a brief overview about my practice. I look forward to getting to know you and your family and partnering together for good health!

Biography

I was born and brought up in India. I grew up in a culturally diverse environment which fostered my interests in both Western and Eastern traditions. After receiving my medical degree form B. J. Medical College in India, I decided to come to United States for my postgraduate training. I completed my psychiatry residency at Richmond University Medical Center in New York, and then continued my westward journey to California to be close to family.

About my practice

My philosophy of psychiatric practice integrates the biological, psychological, and social aspects of an individual. My primary goal is to understand the needs of each individual member and work together to formulate a treatment plan. I like to emphasize psychotherapy (talk therapy), healthy diet, regular exercise, and approaches that improve sleep, in addition to treatment with medication. Our department provides a multidisciplinary team approach where physicians, nurses, and psychotherapists work together to provide high-quality, evidence-based, and compassionate care to our members. A strong sense of dedication to my patients’ well being is central to the way I practice medicine. I take pride in providing our members with the best care possible.

How I thrive

I truly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in mind, body, and spirit ! My family and friends are my major priority. I love to exercise, practice yoga, travel, and explore new destinations.
