About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. My specialty is hematology and oncology. This field is challenging for many reasons, but I feel this is where I can help members and their families the most.

Biography

I was born in Mexico and raised near the border in San Diego. My parents are hard working and emphasized education as the key towards a better future. I always enjoyed school and learning, but I was not one of those kids who knew they would become a doctor from a young age. Instead, I allowed my interests to guide my way. My love for science started in college. Later I found that medicine would be the best way to combine my interest in science and people.

About my practice

I had the opportunity to work at the Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Offices while I was a fellow in oncology. I enjoyed my experience with this group for many reasons. First, I found the nursing staff helpful and friendly. Second, the other doctors in this practice were welcoming and knowledgeable. And best of all, the members were wonderful. As I finished my training, an opportunity to join the group came and I signed up without hesitation. Since I joined, I find that my initial impression is still true. We all try to work as a group to provide the best care for our members.

How I thrive

I believe a balanced life is the key to a happy life. I have two sons and spending time with them and my husband is a top priority. We enjoy riding our bikes and walking our dog. I also enjoy reading a good book and watching football.
