About Me

Welcome to my Web page. Communication is the cornerstone of a great and healthy relationship between my patients and me. This Web page is one more way in which I can establish such communication.

Biography

I am a native Southern Californian. I wanted to be a physician from the age of seven. After receiving my undergraduate degree in bacteriology from UC Davis, I returned to Southern California for medical school. I completed my internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I am also an actor, and I believe that acting has taught me to be a better listener, which has helped me in my medical practice.

About my practice

I am a hospitalist, meaning that I care for members who have been admitted to the hospital. I am proud to be a Kaiser Permanente physician and have loved being a part of this organization since 1989.

How I thrive

I pride myself on practicing what I preach and following a very healthy lifestyle. I exercise daily. I am a tri-athlete and try to run, swim, or ride my bike every day. I also eat a very low-fat, healthy diet. I am a firm believer that organic foods are healthier for my body and try to eat them as much as possible. Having taken many cooking classes, meal preparation is always enjoyable, and cooking remains one of my major passions. I believe that setting goals helps move you in the direction you want to be in. To that end, in 2014 I completed my first Ironman race. More to come in 2015!
