About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician and as a physician administrator at Kaiser Permanente.
Biography
Along with my family, I came from South Korea at the age of 10 and grew up in New York. I moved to Los Angeles for my internship and residency program at LAC+USC Medical Center. I chose to stay here after the training and made Southern California my home. I am an internist and practiced for more than seven years at Panorama City Medical Center. In 2009, I transitioned into my administrative role as the Assistant Chief of Internal Medicine and in 2013 as a Regional Chief of General Internal Medicine. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente both as a clinician, as well as an administrator who is working to make our organization the best health care delivery system in the country.
About my practice
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what patients need. I feel very honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family. I am fluent in Korean.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in body, mind, and spirit, and try to live it in my life every day. I enjoy cycling, photography and listening to music. I also enjoy all kinds of games.
