About Me
Hello, and thank you for visiting my Web page. I am a pediatrician at the Kaiser Permanente’s Harbor MacArthur Medical Offices. The majority of my work is in pediatric urgent care, though I do work in general pediatrics as well.
Biography
I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. I immigrated to the United States with my husband and 2-month-old daughter in 1989. I did my internship in Galveston, Texas, and completed my residency at Children’s Hospital in Orange County (CHOC). I then worked in Columbia, Mississippi, for 4 years. In 2000, our family moved back to California, and we decided to make Orange County our permanent home.
About my practice
I love working with children and getting to know them and their families. I feel honored that parents trust me with the most precious part of their lives—their children. I strive to take that responsibility seriously and respect parents’ concerns. I believe knowledge is power, and my job is not only to see a child and treat him or her but also to clearly explain to parents what is going on and how to manage their child’s care during illness. I strive to treat each member as I would want my own child to be treated.
How I thrive
I try very hard to achieve some balance in life. Spending time with family is a priority. I enjoy going for walks, gardening, and reading mystery novels. Cooking spicy Pakistani food for friends and family is another relaxing outlet.
