About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad to have the opportunity to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and look forward to working with you to care for your health

Biography

I come from a family of physicians who practice in different specialties-my father, elder brothers and cousins influenced my desire to become a doctor from a very young age. I completed medical school in India and later joined my husband to come to United States. After a year of research at UCLA, I did my residency in internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, followed by a year of cardiology training at USC. I joined Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clarita 10 years ago as an internist. I have been practicing medicine for 13 years. I have two children and love to spend as much time as possible with them. My other interests include sports, gardening, and traveling.

About my practice

Medicine as a career is a great way to help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, and also listening and responding to what patients need. Communication with my patients and their families is an important part of my practice. I feel honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I volunteer in my daughter's school by working with a group of moms to keep the school gardens beautiful. I also do Girl Scout activities. I have a beautiful garden in my backyard, which is my sanctuary. I go for long walks on weekends and practice yoga for relaxation. I enjoy cooking for my family and spend as much free time with them as possible. I enjoy traveling to historic places.
