About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I hope this page will help you to get to know me a bit better. Thank you for stopping by!

Biography

I was born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii. I am a first-generation Filipino American. I love getting to know people, especially my patients and their families. My hobbies include trying out new places to eat and traveling. I have always loved science! A long time ago, I became an endocrinology patient myself. My endocrinologist sat me down and drew out the hormone pathways. It was all very fascinating and that is when I realized I wanted to become a pediatric endocrinologist. My doctor's good bedside manner and ability to communicate at my level was something I admired, and strive for today as your physician. I earned my medical degree at the University of Hawaii . I then had my pediatric residency Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), and completed my pediatric endocrinology fellowship at UCSD/Rady Children’s Hospital. I worked at Banner Hospital in Arizona before returning to beautiful San Diego, and joined Kaiser Permanente in August 2017.

About my practice

In order to be the best doctor for you, I think about what it was like to be a patient myself. As a patient, I wanted my doctor to be friendly, accessible, communicative, understanding, and genuinely interested in me as a person. This is the kind of doctor I want to be for you. I want you to be empowered with information provided at our clinic visits. At our office, we follow children of all ages with diabetes and endocrine issues. Our excellent team is available to help you anytime.

How I thrive

I thrive by spending time with my fiancé and our two dogs (Stewie the Beagle, ChaCha the terrier), exploring beautiful San Diego, and planning our next trip.
