About Me

Originally from California, I left my home state to go to medical school in Chicago. From there I trained in beautiful Hawaii, then practiced medicine with the U.S. Army for 4 years in Tennessee. After completing my commitment to the military, I decided to return to the West for the gorgeous mountains, rivers, ocean, and the wonderful spirit of the people.

About my practice

I see members with a wide variety of mental health conditions, although I have extra experience with PTSD. As a psychiatrist, I prescribe medications for depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other conditions. I encourage members to live active, healthy lives, and I advocate for using only enough medication to relieve distressing symptoms.

How I thrive

I find I'm at my best when I work hard and then go home. Exercising and spending time with family are my best stress relievers. I very much enjoy riding my bike around town, and I'm attempting to learn the guitar and piano. (I've made it to tolerable on the guitar, while progress on the piano is slower. But it is fun, and nobody's great when they first start, right?)
