Saludos y gracias por visitar mi pagina de Internet. He tenido el placer de trabajar para Kaiser Permanente por mas de 20 años en el centro medico de Fontana.

Biography

I come from the windy city of Chicago. My interest in medicine began when I was very young, when I wanted to know how everything in the body worked. I imagined that I could someday link all diseases, body systems, and treatments together. I am presently in charge of the diabetes clinic in the Department of Endocrinology at the Fontana Medical Center. Because I have a special interest and training in diabetes, it has been my pleasure to serve the American Diabetes Association (ADA) as president of the Inland Empire chapter.

About my practice

My practice is exciting and unique. The diabetes clinic, the coronary artery disease clinic, the heart failure clinic, and the cholesterol clinic all use a team approach to care. My colleagues are nurse case managers (many of them certified diabetes educators), health educators with master's degrees or doctorates (many of them also registered dietitians), and psychosocial providers and educators. In addition, many highly trained project managers, administrative specialists, and clerical specialists help our mission of improving the health of all our members.

How I thrive

Family and balance in life are extremely important to me. My wife and daughter understand that I must spend extra hours caring for members; however, we share our evenings, weekends, and vacations without interruptions. We enjoy traveling to Mexico, and we discuss medical issues with people on our frequent trips to areas that have very little medical care. It is amazing how a little knowledge of diet and self-care can help a community.
