About Me

Hi, my name is Madhavi and welcome to my Web page. I’m very excited to share a few things about myself in order to help you get to know me better. I am an internal medicine physician who moved to San Diego with my husband and daughter from Portland, Oregon.

Biography

When I was growing up in India, the doctors who cared for my grandfather during his struggle with Alzheimer's disease had a profound impact on my life. I knew then that I wanted to go into the medical profession. After finishing my residency in internal medicine in Chicago, I took a job as a hospitalist at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. While I thoroughly enjoyed treating people during their hospital stays, I switched my focus to primary care to better work long-term to help my members achieve their health goals. When my husband got a job opportunity in San Diego we jumped on it.

About my practice

I believe that the doctor-patient relationship is a strong partnership fostered through good communication and listening. I feel an immense sense of responsibility towards each member that I care for, and I’m honored they have chosen me as their advocate for their health concerns.

How I thrive

I’m a strong believer in keeping a good balance between work and family life. Having lived in Oregon, I’ve come to love hiking. In my spare time, I go hiking with my family. Our young daughter joins in on the hikes, too. I also love to bake and do arts and crafts activities with my daughter.
