About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.

Biography

I grew up in Southern California and only went away for a few years to go to medical school in Chicago at Northwestern University. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues. I am just like you, trying to get the kids to school on time, picking them up at the end of the day, and hoping for time to eat, wash up, and still have fun with the family.

About my practice

I emphasize lifestyle behavior over pharmaceutical solutions. I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your own health. If you have an appointment with me, please bring a current and complete list of the medications you take, and, if it’s relevant, your glucometer and a journal of your blood pressure readings. I recommend my patients check their sugars at least twice a day—before meals, if not before every meal, and at bedtime. It will help you get to know your body and help me adjust your meds. I like to develop a care plan with my patients before they leave the exam room, and it’s easier to create an individualized plan when the patient has more objective information about himself or herself.

How I thrive

I enjoy my time off by spending quality time with my family and getting involved with religious activities and my children’s after-school activities. Being involved in my church and living according to its teachings are very important to me.
