About Me

I was born and raised in rural South Dakota but traveled further west for education and training. I feel very fortunate to practice in Colorado, surrounded by the beautiful outdoors. I am particularly interested in practicing evidence-based medicine to improve care and add value to the health of my patients. My prior research was focused on using teams to improve patient survival in cancer, and I hope to bring that knowledge to my patients.

About my practice

I feel very honored to be able to care for patients in hematology and oncology. Technology in the treatment of cancer is rapidly evolving and giving us more hope each day. I believe that communication with patients is paramount to valuable care. I want to make sure treatment goals and plans are clear and meet your needs. I am a strong advocate for high-quality care for all patients and I rely on trusted research to ensure that I practice evidence-based medicine when possible.

I subspecialize in gastrointestinal, genitourinary, sarcoma and head and neck cancer in addition to caring for all cancer types.

How I thrive

I thrive most by the amazing support of my family and 2 beautiful daughters. I enjoy frequent exercise and excursions to the outdoors through backcountry skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and camping. Live music helps me thrive when I’m not able to explore the outdoors.
