About Me

I grew up in Southern California where my 2 brothers and I were brought up with a love and appreciation for the outdoors--camping, rock climbing, obstacle racing, and hiking. I enjoy musical theater, jazz, and a slower pace of life. I currently reside in Oregon but have lived throughout the country in such varied places as Detroit, Michigan; Orange City, Iowa; and San Bernardino, California. It was my high school dream to become a physician, and I could not imagine a better place to practice than with Kaiser Permanente Northwest.

About my practice

I am a proud residency-trained osteopathic Emergency Medicine physician, and my role is to recognize, treat, and stabilize any condition. I see members of all ages. I have specialized training in adult and pediatric resuscitation, acute stroke management, and acute management of heart attacks. I believe in the inherent ability of the body to heal from within. Clean, healthy living and eating, along with daily movement and exercise, are integral and essential to good health. My mission as a physician is to be a kind, caring, compassionate lifelong learner and leader with a distinct osteopathic philosophy. I treat each member individually and believe that each encounter with a member is unique.

How I thrive

I engage in daily physical activity, calm quiet moments, reading, meditation, prayer, and quality family time. My son and I start every morning with a walk. It is the perfect way to combine a still mind and an active body while getting time together. My wife and I enjoy the cinema, live theatre, and good jazz music. A balanced life is a happy life.
