About Me

I chose to practice obstetrics and gynecology because it combines the gratification of helping individuals with specific problems and providing continuity of care. I believe the practice of medicine is a partnership between patient and physician. Physicians have the medical knowledge, but only the patient can determine if a treatment is right for her.

About my practice

I am a member of our Kaiser Permanente Ob/Gyn Department, where I work with a group of outstanding doctors, midwives and nurse practitioners. Our midwives and nurse practitioners generally handle routine visits, leaving time on my schedule for patients that are having problems and need a physician's evaluation.

How I thrive

I am committed to volunteer work in the community. I have been involved with the Stride Ahead program at Little Creek Farms, which provides horseback riding therapy for children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and similar disabilities. This work is extremely rewarding and keeps me focused on what is really important in life.
