About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am grateful for the opportunity to present information to you about myself and my credentials.

Biography

I was born and raised in Southern California. I attended undergraduate and medical school at the University of Southern California and completed my internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. My wife and I moved to the East Coast, where I completed a general cardiology fellowship at the University of Connecticut/Hartford Hospital and an additional fellowship in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation at Newark Beth Israel Hospital. We came back to Los Angeles for the Southern California weather and to be close to family. I enjoy working in the field of cardiovascular medicine because it is a fast-paced and ever-evolving field that keeps me intellectually stimulated.

About my practice

I am a board-certified cardiologist with additional certification in adult echocardiography. I completed further specialized training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support device therapy (including short- and long-term use ventricular assist devices and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation), and cardiac transplantation. I work with the Department of Cardiac Surgery and care for critically ill members, both pre- and post-operative.

How I thrive

My wife (who is also a Permanente physician) and I maintain our wellness by taking advantage of all the opportunities that our area  provides. We enjoy participating in outdoor activities (including regular trips to the local farmers market), cooking, and spending time with family.
