About Me

I was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii. I am the only member in my family who chose to pursue a career in medicine and was fortunate to have parents who encouraged and supported me to find my path. I will always be grateful to them for this.

About my practice

My teachers during high school nurtured my passion for science and learning. A career in medicine has allowed me to pursue this lifelong passion with the added bonus of returning to Hawaii to work. I was drawn to my specialty because I enjoyed pharmacology classes in medical school, and anesthesiology was a perfect field to apply those teachings in patient care. At the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, I enjoy having the ability to collaborate with colleagues from all disciplines. It is a blessing to have everyone on the same team. In my practice, my philosophy is to treat the patient and their family the same way I would like to be treated if I were in their situation. I am able to connect with my patients by keeping a smile on my face and an open mind. I stay up to date with the latest developments in my field by attending medical conferences and meetings in addition to reviewing anesthesia literature

How I thrive

To stay mentally and physically healthy, I like running and reading. I also enjoy immersing myself in family activities and outings, and maintaining and cultivating friendships.
