About Me
I am originally from Illinois and obtained my BS degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, prior to moving to California, and obtaining my master's degree in social work from California State University in 2003. I spent 10 years living in beautiful Portland, Oregon, prior to moving to Colorado in 2013.
About my practice
Populations: Adult, Child, Teens, Family, Group, and Seniors. Specialties: Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Grief and Loss, Mood Disorders, Parenting, PTSD, and Trauma. Interventions: CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I believe therapy is a collaborative approach between myself and the individual I am working with to help identify their primary concerns and their overall goals for treatment. The therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of treatment and I spend time listening and asking questions in order to get to know you, your strengths and your present concerns. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to help us in reaching your goals. I believe getting to know the whole person and actively listening and understanding a person's concerns is the most important aspect of treatment. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve. I trust other Kaiser Permanente providers to take excellent care of my patients if I'm not available.
How I thrive
I enjoy staying physically active and spending my time in the outdoors doing a variety of different activities, including hiking, rock climbing, camping, and playing volleyball.
