About Me

Hi, my name is Dr. Pilar Mina. I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you to start to get to know me.

Biography

I moved from the Philippines to the United States to attend my medical residency. Family and good weather made Southern California my home. I am naturally curious about many things, but my dominant interest now is ikebana—the Japanese art of floral arrangement. I also volunteer to go on medical missions and find that healing can be present in many forms.

About my practice

I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I’m also here to help when your physical health needs attention. I feel that empowering patients to stay actively involved in their health through healthy attitudes and choices is paramount to good health care. I consider it a privilege and an honor that my patients entrust me with their care.

How I thrive

I firmly believe in healthy living and preventive care, and I try to live it in my life every day. I do yoga as well as some t’ai chi and qigong. I love reading books, including sci-fi fantasy, bestsellers, and spiritual literature. I also make it a priority to set aside time to just relax, meditate, and re-energize.
