About Me

I am a Denver native and have lived here most of my life, although I have taken every opportunity to travel around the world as well. After exploring the restaurant and travel agent business, I decided I needed something more meaningful as a career. I chose to become a therapist because I thought it was the best way to positively impact the world around me. I see emotional pain to often be more damaging and harder to cope with than physical pain.

About my practice

Populations: Adult, Group, Teens. Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Mood Disorders, PTSD, Substance Abuse, Transgender, Trauma, and other chronic conditions. Interventions: CBT, DBT, EMDR. I work with many populations both in age and diagnosis. My specialty is in trauma. I find it rewarding to help people move out of their trauma and into a brighter world that no longer haunts them. I believe that helping people move past their trauma helps them not only live better lives as individuals but makes people better able to be compassionate and loving friends, family members, and community members. I work hard to recognize each patient as an individual, not make any assumptions about them, and let the patient be the expert, teaching me about their subjective experience and how we can improve it collaboratively. I trust other Kaiser Permanente providers to take excellent care of my patients if I'm not available. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve.

How I thrive

I love to play volleyball and can often be found at parks around the city with a net and some friends. I also enjoy cooking with my partner, walking our dog, and getting together for game nights with friends and family.
