About Me

I am from Maryland, but have lived in Colorado since graduating from nursing school. I received my nursing education from Duke University. My graduate school and nurse practitioner education was received from the University of Colorado. I am married and have raised my two daughters in Colorado.

About my practice

Providing care for mothers and babies in the home has been an extremely rewarding career for me. I became a certified lactation consultant in addition to my nurse practitioner training more than 20 years ago. I strive to help every family meet their goals in breastfeeding. I have had privilege of working for Kaiser Permanente Colorado since 1985! I love being a nurse practitioner and caring for mothers and babies.

How I thrive

I exercise, walk, hike, and read regularly. I do a lot of volunteer activities in the community and belong to several organization that promote community service. I strive to treat my patients the way that I wish to be treated as a patient myself with compassion, skill, knowledge, and care.
