About Me

Welcome to my Web page and the Neurosurgery Department. We are a comprehensive neurosurgical center that works closely with our multidisciplinary team. We interact on a regular basis to make sure that our members get quality care through a team-oriented approach.

Biography

I was born and raised in the small town of Portsmouth, Ohio. We later moved to California as a family, drawn by the beautiful weather. I chose neurosurgery as a specialty because it provided me with skills to treat the whole patient from a medical, surgical, and/or alternative approach. I have a beautiful wife who I love dearly and a wonderful family that lives nearby. I enjoy a relaxed game of golf on the weekends. I routinely enjoy running, weight training, and fine dining at home. I do get out to hike, ski, swim, and kayak when time and weather permit. My favorite quote: "Keep smiling; it makes people wonder what you've been up to."

About my practice

We have a team of seven neurosurgeons. We work in a collaborative environment to provide the optimal treatment plan for our members. To help us provide well-rounded care, we have an outstanding team of nurses, medical assistants, and residents. My particular interests include tumors of the brain and spinal cord, pituitary tumors, skull base anatomy and pathology, and spine health.

How I thrive

I enjoy spending much of my free time with my wife and family. Keeping active with projects at work and at home keeps life more enjoyable and dynamic. Whether it is meditation, going to the gym, going out for a run, or being out in the water, putting each breath to good use is good medicine!
