About Me

I decided I wanted to go to medical school when I was in college as I realized how much helping individuals meant to me. I was drawn to psychiatry while in medical school after talking with patients and working with an attending psychiatrist whom I respected. My choice makes a lot of sense as my fifth grade career aptitude test showed my greatest interests to be in the medical and social fields. Furthermore, my mother was a social worker.

About my practice

My goal is to help our members achieve their goals. I emphasize patient education, safety, and thoroughness in my practice. I treat a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses for patients ages 18 and older. I have experience working at a private practice, a university counseling center, a state hospital, and a jail. I primarily perform diagnostic assessments, medication management, referrals, and patient education. I also include components of psychotherapy during my appointments.

How I thrive

I thrive by spending time with my family and friends, exercising, playing with my dogs, reading and learning, playing golf, and eating well.
