About Me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. My name is Christopher Tenggardjaja. My last name can be difficult for some to pronounce, so most members just abbreviate my last name and call me Dr. T. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health. In addition to caring for members from all over Southern California, I also teach urology residents (physicians in training) on a daily basis and also train uro-gynecology fellows. I strive every day to help you live a healthy life.
Biography
I am a native Californian and was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. Although I've lived here most of my life, I've spent numerous years out of state experiencing the "four seasons." I earned my undergraduate degree in Philadelphia. After attending medical school in Chicago, I completed my residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Cleveland. Although I've enjoyed all my years living in various parts of the United States, I've come back to Southern California because of our awesome weather and to be closer to family.
About my practice
Urology is unique in that we help members thrive in the face of diseases that affect the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and male and female genitalia. I enjoy all aspects of urologic care but have a particular interest in voiding dysfunction (problems with urination). In addition to practicing general urology, I specialize in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, which allows me to treat female pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. I also specialize in male voiding dysfunction and perform different treatment options to allow men to urinate better.
How I thrive
Although my career passion is urology, the other driving force in my life is my family. Growing up, my childhood was filled with great memories of spending time with my family in California. One of my favorite hobbies is saltwater and freshwater fishing. I grew up fishing with my father. I loved spending days out on the ocean or on the stream practicing a hobby that teaches both patience and delayed gratification. I hope to one day pass that love of fishing to my 3 children as they grow up here in California. I also hope to instill a love for Dodger blue and Lakers purple and gold. Lastly, I hope that my dedication and love of my family is visible in the care that I provide members who are part of our Kaiser Permanente family.
