About Me
When I left Iowa after college graduation, I had no idea what was in store for me! I lived in Louisiana and Alabama, and I returned to college for my nursing degree. While working and starting a family, I was also able to obtain my master's degree and nurse practitioner certification in family practice. It has been exciting to be a part of the growth of pain management as a specialty. My first exposure to pain management was in the hospital setting. I worked at a local hospital for 13 years before joining Kaiser Permanente, and I am now enjoying practicing pain management in a clinical setting. I am also board certified in pain management.
About my practice
I believe that patient-centered care is the best care. My goal is to provide information to our members and present care options moving forward. I strive to work together with our members to create a workable care plan for an optimal result.
How I thrive
My children are now grown, and I am looking forward to new challenges in the years ahead! I am a fan of the arts, and my friends will tell you that even at the last minute, I can easily be persuaded to take in a concert, play or exhibit. I am a bit of a "foodie" too, as I find great pleasure in dining out or entertaining at home. I also enjoy traveling, reading and watching movies. When more activity is called for, I enjoy walking and riding my new bicycle, which after a few close calls gave new meaning to the phrase, "Just like riding a bike!"
