About Me

I was raised in a small town near Birmingham, Ala., and moved to Atlanta after graduate school in 1985. I have two young adult children, two dogs and a cat.My decision to join Kaiser Permanente in 1990 was based on my interest and belief in preventive health care.

About my practice

I work with an adult population at our Crescent Medical Center. My background is in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also do group work using mindfulness meditation for individuals with chronic pain.

How I thrive

I use daily exercise, dance and yoga to manage stress, as well as spending time with friends and family. I try to balance this with adequate quiet time, which means giving myself a break from the demands of telephones, television and email.
