About Me

Hi! I am Dr. Peter Kim, one of the orthopedic surgeons at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. I specialize in hip and knee reconstruction. Welcome to my Web page.

Biography

I was born and raised in the Northeast. Most of my training was done there as well. I went to medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA, which is where I got my interest in orthopedic surgery. Learning about the musculoskeletal system and how physicians treated the various ailments fascinated me. This interest led me to pursue a career in orthopedics. I subsequently did my residency at the University of Connecticut, which provided comprehensive training in musculoskeletal care. I developed a particular interest in joint replacement. After completing residency, I completed an adult reconstruction fellowship at USC under the tutelage of their well-known and respected faculty. I was given the opportunity to stay in Southern California with Kaiser Permanente and gladly joined because of the excellent care they provide their patients.

About my practice

As a total joint surgeon, my practice focuses on ailments that affect the hip and knee. In addition, I also treat general orthopedic conditions as well (i.e. arthritis, fractures, tendon injuries, among others). I enjoy helping patients recover from their musculoskeletal ailments and regaining their function.

How I thrive

I thrive by working out on a consistent basis, and by spending time with family/friends.
