About Me

I came to Colorado in 1987 to complete my nephrology training. I fell in love with the people and extraordinary places in Colorado and decided to stay. The most rewarding part of being a physician is making a difference in the lives of my patients to help them lead healthier and happier lives.

About my practice

There are many aspects to nephrology care. I focus on chronic kidney disease that is caused by diabetes and/or hypertension. I most enjoy educating and working with patients early in the course of their disease to help them engage in their care and make changes that will positively impact their health in the future. I listen to understand my patients’ questions and concerns, so we can make a treatment plan that meets their needs. I celebrate successes with my patients and help support them through the challenges.

How I thrive

I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors through walking my dog, biking and hiking. I recently started practicing yoga and embrace the challenge it provides. I also serve on the Colorado Board of the National Kidney Foundation.
