About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I started with Kaiser Permanente after working in private practice in Mission Hills for nine years. I feel very fortunate to have come to work at Kaiser Permanente, because here I am so well supported and encouraged to provide high-quality care for our members.
Biography
I was born in Michigan but grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I swam and played water polo growing up, and I continued competing in it in college at UCLA. When I was a youngster, I wanted to be a teacher. While at UCLA, I was fortunate to meet an educator who taught me that the best physicians are teachers. I have tried to live up to that ideal throughout my career.
About my practice
I am a general pediatrician now, but I also have experience as a pediatric pulmonologist. I continue to be highly interested in helping patients who have pulmonary and lung problems, such as asthma, and I remain involved in improving the care for our young people who have asthma. I now work part-time, but I look forward to continuing to be able to help our younger members lead healthy lives.
How I thrive
I stay active by golfing, bicycling, and (my newest sport) short-track speed skating! If you see me out on the bike path or on the ice rink, be sure and come up and introduce yourself.
