About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in corneal diseases. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008, and my practice is based at the Fontana Medical Center.

Biography

I received my undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley. I was raised in Louisiana and went to Louisiana State University for medical school. I then completed my ophthalmology residency at Cornell Medical Center in New York City. My fellowship training was at the USC Doheny Eye Institute. Along my educational path, I’ve had opportunities to live all over the country and enjoy a wide variety of experiences.

About my practice

The emphasis of my practice is the management of corneal diseases. The cornea is the clear window tissue on the front of the eye. The cornea is important in focusing light and letting light pass into the eye. I also treat severe dry eye, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and other conditions. I specialize in corneal transplant surgery as well as cataract surgery. I also take care of members who have general concerns about their eyes and vision.

How I thrive

I live well by trying to stay active and maintaining a healthy diet. I enjoy working in my garden and trying new recipes for healthy, tasty dishes using vegetables from my garden. I try to take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever I can. I also enjoy spending time with my family.
