About Me

Thanks for visiting my Web page. I am one of the physicians working full-time in the Emergency Department at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center. I began working at the medical center in 1989, when it first opened.

Biography

I'm originally from Iowa, where my father was a small-town family physician for more than 30 years. His influence played a major factor in my decision to become a physician. I attended the University of Iowa for undergraduate studies as well as my medical degree. After graduating, I sought a warmer climate and moved to Southern California, where I did my postgraduate training and have worked as an emergency physician for the past 25 years.

About my practice

The Emergency Department of the Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center is staffed with full-time emergency physicians who specialize in emergency medical care and a nursing staff comprised only of nurses who have special training and experience in emergency medical care. Our goal is to provide all of our patients with prompt, high-quality emergency medical care.

How I thrive

I believe that in order to live a healthy life, one should maintain a reasonable body weight, perform some type of physical exertion several times a week, and avoid cigarettes and excessive use of alcohol. I also think it is very important that we all remember to have fun on a regular basis. My motto: Don't sweat the small stuff. My hobbies are tennis, long-distance running, basketball, and reading.
