About Me

Hello, I’m Dr. Virulhsri, a pediatrician in Kaiser Permanente’s Palmdale office. Here at Kaiser Permanente, we have many resources for parents of newborns, teens and all ages in between. On kp.org you’ll find helpful tips and ideas on raising kids and keeping them healthy. I encourage all my members' parents to explore this wealth of information. If you have any questions, we are always available to help.

Biography

I was raised in the small town of Iron Mountain on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where my father was a physician. I attended the University of Michigan as an undergraduate and went on to receive my medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to perform my internship and residency at Miami Children’s Hospital in Florida. After completing my residency, I practiced with a pediatric medical group in South Florida before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2009. I am pleased to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team.

About my practice

As your pediatrician, you are entrusting me with your most precious gifts − your children. I hope you’ll find the care, concern, knowledge, and smiles I dispense just as valuable as the medicine I prescribe. I love what I do and obtain tremendous satisfaction from seeing your youngsters grow and thrive. At times there may be bumps in the road, but if we work together as a team, I have confidence that your kids will turn out fine. Thanks for letting me be a small part of their lives.

How I thrive

I enjoy leading an active lifestyle. Playing tennis and distance running are two of my biggest passions. I’ve competed in half marathons on both coasts, and in the process have helped raise funds for some very worthy causes. Painting is something I have dabbled in since high school. My art exercises and strengthens my inner creativity, just as running helps me improve my stamina. Together, they help both my body and mind to flourish.
