About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad that you’ve taken this opportunity to get to know a little about my practice and me. I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Biography

I was born and raised in Michigan, where I completed most of my education and training. I moved out to Southern California in 2000 to join a busy private orthopedic practice in the San Gabriel Valley. After six years, I realized I really wanted to focus my practice on hand surgery rather than general orthopedic surgery. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2006.

About my practice

Hand surgery is a fascinating area of medicine that requires tremendous focus and attention to detail. I enjoy the challenge of trying to get my members back to the best they can be. I see myself as a facilitator, returning my members to health, and I recognize that I’m only a part of the process. I’m a firm believer in educating my members about their medical problems. I like my members to be actively involved in their care and decision-making process to ensure the best possible results.

How I thrive

I enjoy playing ice hockey and golf when I’m not chasing after my two children. I have coached both soccer and little league baseball teams. My wife—a concert pianist who trained at The Juilliard School—and I also try to take in classical music performances whenever possible.
