About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself, and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente with wonderful colleagues and patients, and look forward to caring for your children.
Biography
When I was growing up in Oregon, I never dreamed I would be living in Southern California, but now I cannot imagine a better place to be. My husband and I moved here in 1984 from Madison, Wisconsin, where I did my first two years of medical school at the University of Wisconsin. I have been on the board of Valley Community Healthcare for the past five years, and am excited to be a part of their expansion to school-based clinics.
About my practice
I love being a pediatrician because it allows me to be a part of a family's life as they watch their children grow. It is very satisfying when former patients ask me to be their children's pediatrician. Providing guidance for behavior issues is just as important as taking care of medical problems. I try to contribute in whatever way possible to help my patients reach their full potential.
How I thrive
I know how important it is to take care of myself in order to do my job well. I love the outdoors, and take long walks almost every day. I especially enjoy walking with my daughter. I also love to read. I belong to two book clubs, and am usually reading several books at one time.
