About Me
I was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. I have always loved the mountains and was excited to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. I attended medical school at Southern Illinois School of Medicine and decided to do my internal medicine residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. I worked closely with Colorado Permanente Medical Group physicians as a resident and was impressed with their knowledge and the quality of care they provided their patients. Kaiser Permanente’s health care model allows a centralized and coordinated level of care that is typically not available in other practices in the country. I love what I do and could not see myself doing anything else. I am married with two boys, and enjoy my time with them when not working.
About my practice
I always try to treat my patients with the same empathy and concern I would my own family. My primary goal is to relieve the pain, fear and uncertainty that comes with an unexpected illness. I am your advocate in making the correct diagnosis, coordinating your care with specialists, and transitioning you back to normal life. I work with an incredibly talented and trusted group of physicians. Although I may not be your doctor the entire hospital stay, I work with my colleagues to make sure you get the care you deserve. I care for all hospital inpatients ages 16 and older.
How I thrive
I am truly blessed to live in Colorado. My foundation is my family and the support I receive from them. I grew up in the cornfields of central Illinois, so I enjoy showing my sons all the amazing outdoor experiences that Colorado has to offer. I now live in Lafayette with my wife and two sons. We ski, hike and travel whenever possible.
