About Me

Welcome to my Web page and to my practice. I am a pediatrician and also a specialist in newborn intensive care.

Biography

I was born and grew up in Poland, studied medicine there, and after graduation practiced for a few years there. Then I immigrated to the United States, passed the required exams, and entered my postgraduate medical training. My residency was in pediatrics and my fellowship in neonatology. Since 1985, I have been caring for babies big and small-and sometimes very small-at the Fontana Medical Center. I have been married for 32 years now, and we have three grown children and one grandchild.

About my practice

Neonatal care in Fontana is carried out by a team of doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Among all the nurses and other therapists, there are eight doctors providing round the clock care to babies. Four of the eight doctors work in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at a time. One of the four becomes "the primary doctor" for every baby. Parents receive information and updates about their baby from this "primary doctor" most of the time. The great majority of babies born in Fontana are cared for here, and do not need to go to other hospitals, but transfer to other hospitals is available if necessary.

How I thrive

I have variety of interests besides medicine. They are probably too numerous to count. My favorite sport is skiing. Camping with family and friends during vacations is also one of my favorites.
