About Me

I grew up in eastern Washington, moved to Texas for university, and then returned north, to Seattle, for graduate school. I have been in clinical practice at Kaiser Permanente since 2010 and have worked in multiple clinics and roles. I have had advanced training in clinical hypnosis in the United States and United Kingdom. My pronouns are he/him/his.

About my practice

I work as a consultant integrated with primary care physicians, providing population-based brief interventions and skills for habits and behaviors that affect health. I strongly believe in preventive health care and helping patients achieve the highest-level quality of life and functional ability throughout the life span.

  • Culturally specific care: affirming care for all members of any ability, gender, orientation, and nationality seeking brief interventions and skills
  • Population served: aging, child and adolescents, adults
  • Language capacity: English
  • Areas of focus: primary care health and behavior including mild-moderate depression, anxiety, and all health conditions that behaviors and habits affect (diabetes, obesity, substance use, high blood pressure, etc.).

How I thrive

I thrive by being curious and open to ideas, cultures, and ways of life that challenge and expand my understanding of how to live a full and meaningful life. I enjoy traveling with my children and wife, photography, and being in nature.
