About Me

Welcome to my Web page! My specialty is emergency medicine and I work primarily at the San Diego Medical Center. While it is usually unexpected to find yourself in the emergency department, I strive to provide you with the type of service that will make your visit with us a positive one.

Biography

I am a native Californian, growing up in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. I obtained my undergraduate degree at UC Davis, then headed down to Southern California and received a master’s degree at UCLA before starting medical school back at UC Davis. I started my residency in pediatrics at Stanford, before switching my focus to emergency medicine and finishing residency at Washington University in St. Louis. After my residency, I completed a fellowship in emergency medicine administration with EMA and USC before moving to San Diego and joining Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

I am a strong advocate of preventive medicine; however, when you do get sick or injured, I will do my best to help care for you. I believe that my role as your physician is to assist you in making the best medical decisions for yourself. I will work with you to help direct the care that you receive while you are with us in the emergency department. My goal is to treat you with the same care and compassion I would my own family.

How I thrive

I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends. I love the outdoors and travel when possible. I use running and cycling to reduce the stress in my life.
