About Me
I am originally from central Nebraska. I grew up traveling to the Colorado Rockies every summer with my family and thus grew to love Colorado and the outdoors. When I was young, I liked school, science and caring for kids. I decided I wanted to become a pediatrician when I was in the eighth grade and eventually attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After spending several years in Boston, my husband and I came to Colorado and I have thrived with Kaiser Permanente since 1993! I enjoy working with kids of all ages and their parents and feel privileged to be able to provide health care and be a part of the lives of families. I also enjoy my three now grown kids and feel my parenting experiences have greatly enriched the rewards of practicing pediatrics.
About my practice
As a pediatrician, I try to be a good listener who is open and understanding. I work with my patients and their families to be healthy and to achieve well-being. I enjoy the relationships that develop through years of caring for parents and children and seeing children grow to be healthy adults. Communication and understanding are key to relationships. I try to understand the concerns of my patients and strive to work with them to achieve good health and to find solutions to problems. I also enjoy working with the very dedicated, skilled, compassionate members of our medical team.
How I thrive
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends traveling, skiing, hiking and camping as well as doing a wide variety of volunteer work.
