About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. As a pediatric endocrinologist, I specialize in treatment of children and teenagers who have a variety of conditions, including diabetes; disorders of thyroid, growth, and puberty; and transgender hormonal affirming treatment. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues, staff, and members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
Biography
I grew up in New York but now feel quite at home in Southern California since my wife and I moved here more than 20 years ago. We have 3 wonderful children. It was natural for me to become a physician. I enjoyed pretending to be a doctor when I was a kid. Because some of my family developed diabetes, I later became interested in biochemistry, molecular biology, and growth factors. Pediatric endocrinology incorporates all of those interests, along with the health of children and the well-being of their families, which I remain passionate about.
About my practice
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, particularly for those who have the chronic disorders I specialize in. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. I participate actively in the community because the main work for controlling chronic conditions like diabetes takes place outside of my office . It's so gratifying to take part in joyful moments I can share with the families who live with these conditions.
How I thrive
I strongly believe in the same advice I give members: that healthy living is a cornerstone of a good life. The main way I stay balanced and content is spending time with my family, but I also run daily and strive for good nutrition.
