About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’ve been a member of the Kaiser Permanente Cardiology Department in San Diego since 2011. My subspecialty is in electrophysiology—the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.

Biography

I was born in Chicago and grew up in a small town in upstate New York. I went to medical school in Chicago and then moved to the Pacific Northwest, where I trained in internal medicine in Portland, and cardiology and electrophysiology in Seattle. I was in practice there for several years before moving to San Diego in 2011 to be closer to my family.

About my practice

My practice focuses on the electrical system of the heart. I perform procedures for both fast and slow heart rates, including ablation procedures, and implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. I also work with people to help them better understand and manage the risk of dangerous heart rhythms and sudden cardiac death.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife and two children. I make a little time each week to run, spend time at the beach, and read.
