About Me

Hi, and welcome to my Web page. I hope it is informative and encouraging. Opening up to a doctor for the first time can be quite an intimidating and uncomfortable experience for some people. I hope that getting to know me before you come in will help make your first visit a better one!

Biography

I was born in South Korea and moved to the United States when I was 1 year old. My family settled in Columbia, Missouri, where I stayed until finishing high school. I left the Midwest in 1988 to attend Stanford, where I received my undergraduate degree in English literature. I then went to USC for medical school and my residency. Pasadena was home to my private practice for about five years before I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2012.

About my practice

I love working in the San Dimas facility. The office is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. I strive to treat my patients with dignity, respect, and every courtesy. I enjoy every aspect of women’s health care, from contraception to conception, from adolescence to menopause. It is an important job, and I’m glad to offer the best care I can.

How I thrive

How do I thrive? I look at the beautiful faces of my two boys and feel gratitude: to be alive, healthy, and able to enjoy the world that we live in. To that end, I enjoy archery, reading thrillers, eating kale, and trying not to watch too much TV. Without our health, we can’t enjoy what we have!
