About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my work as an obstetrician and gynecologist at Kaiser Permanente.
Biography
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and attended UCLA and Harvard Medical School. I’ve always been interested in women's health issues, and becoming an Ob/Gyn has fulfilled my dream of helping women help themselves. My family and I love to travel, read, hike, and cheer on our UCLA Bruins. We’re also actively involved with Shane's Inspiration—an organization that transforms playgrounds into places where able-bodied and disabled children and families can play together.
About my practice
I practice general obstetrics and gynecology. My areas of special interest include contraception, preventive care, and urogynecology. As the women's health leader at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center for close to 15 years, my goals have been to improve our preventive care screening rates —i.e., Pap smears, mammograms, and tests for osteoporosis—and to educate both members and health care providers about developments in women's health. I’ve enjoyed working at Kaiser Permanente since 1988 as both a clinician and a leader who is working to make our organization an ever-stronger model of health care delivery.
How I thrive
My favorite activities outside of work include walking our dog up and down our neighborhood hills, and escaping into a great novel. My family and I also enjoy traveling and playing music together—we have a piano-clarinet-trombone trio that isn’t easy to find music for!
