About Me
I am a Colorado native and have ancestors that helped settle Colorado in the late 1880's. I first became interested in medicine while in college after being exposed to outpatient Orthopedics during an internship for my undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology. That internship led to my desire to become a PA and to more directly help people in need. Many of those same experiences still drive me today to be the best I can and help with my compassion towards all patients.
About my practice
I am an Orthopedic Physician Assistant practicing at the Franklin Clinic as well as at Exempla St Joseph Hospital; and on occasion I can be found helping out in Urgent Care. A majority of my time is spent in the Acute Orthopedic Clinic, or AOC, and at the hospital where I treat any number of Orthopedic trauma patients and other acute Orthopedic conditions. My approach to patients is to treat each patient as if they were a family member.
How I thrive
I thrive through being an active person. I volunteer for various charitable organizations and help mentor youth sports and spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy spending time with my dog who I train daily - the goal is to have him become involved in search and rescue one day. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, backpacking and in the winter months I ski, snowboard and snowshoe (mostly with my dog). In general I take every opportunity I can to enjoy beautiful Colorado and to stay active.
