About Me

Welcome to the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Kaiser Permanente's Downey Medical Center and Orchard Medical Offices.

Biography

I am from the Midwest originally, but was fortunate enough to go to University of California - Los Angeles. The Southern California bug was in me immediately, and I knew I had to live near the ocean.

About my practice

For me, plastic surgery is the most amazing field in medicine. The ability to make people feel better about themselves, both inside and out, after they have gone through surgery is what drives me. I have fellowship training in microsurgical breast reconstruction from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and craniofacial surgery with Operation Smile. I focus on all aspects of plastic surgery, but my additional training allows me to specialize in breast reconstruction following cancer and cleft-lip and cleft-palate surgery for children.

How I thrive

I love the ocean and everything about it. I am an avid swimmer and I paddle-board and surf whenever I can. Being outside is a priority for me at all times, but I am a history buff and lover of art, so you will see me at one of our wonderful museums in the area all year round!
