About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
Biography
I was born in Poland but have called Southern California my home for over 25 years. I did my undergraduate and medical studies in the Greater Los Angeles area and moved to San Diego in 1999. My decision to become a pulmonologist was largely influenced by the tremendous pulmonary and critical care physicians I encountered in my medical school and residency training. This is an exciting time for pulmonary medicine, with new effective treatments and interventions for a great number of respiratory conditions.
About my practice
In the pulmonary clinic and the pulmonary function lab, of which I am the director, we have an excellent team of doctors, nurses, and respiratory technicians, all working together to diagnose and treat pulmonary problems. We all strive to help each patient in an individual way, and to listen and respond to their unique needs. We are privileged to be entrusted with the mission of taking care of our San Diego members who need pulmonary care.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I enjoy yoga, hiking, traveling and skiing. I enjoy the theater, music, and especially the opera. I find it very important to spend time with my family and friends; this became even clearer to me after the sudden passing of my father in 2014. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me of what is important in life.
