About Me
I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology at Miami University in Oxford, OH, in 1985. I became a physician assistant because of my interest in medicine and patient care, the variety of medical skills I could develop and the numerous opportunities offered by this profession. My past specialties include outpatient dialysis, pain management, and a tour in Iraq as a military physician assistant. My wife and I have a two-year-old son and love living in Colorado. I feel very fortunate to work for such a great and innovative organization as Kaiser Permanente Colorado.
About my practice
I’m currently with the Gastroenterology department and specialize in Hepatology, treating patients with a wide range of liver disorders. I believe it is vital to thoroughly explain to and educate the patient about their disorder in an understandable fashion. My goal is to improve the health of the patient through therapy, self-awareness and encouragement.
How I thrive
My wife, son, and I love living in Colorado. I enjoy running the dirt trails of the foothills or on the open space paved pathways pushing my son in his BOB. We mountain bike, camp, and hike either as a family or with friends in the nearby mountains. My hobbies include scenic and wildlife photography. I feel these activities help to keep me physically and mentally fit.
