About Me

Welcome to my Web page. It’s important for you to feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me. I’m a family medical physician with Kaiser Permanente and feel fortunate to have returned to San Diego to practice medicine in the town where I grew up!

Biography

I was born in Arizona and moved to San Diego as a child; I grew up in Pacific Beach and Rancho San Diego. I later moved to Los Angeles for college, where I earned my undergraduate degree in environmental science. I spend the two years after college performing public health work in the Peace Corps in Peru. I decided that my passion was in helping people to live healthier, happier lives. I went to medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico and completed my residency in family medicine in Sleepy Hollow, New York. I love to travel and experience new cultures, and I have always loved working to help people.

About my practice

Communication is extremely important between my patients and myself. I strive to help my patients understand their health conditions thoroughly, as well as the reasoning behind the decisions we make to treat in certain ways. The more that I can empower my patients to take control of their health, the more successful I feel as a physician. I work together with members to personalize medical care for each individual. It is a privilege to know and help all of my members.

How I thrive

I try to live a balanced and healthy life. I go to the gym regularly, and I love to swim. I enjoy exploring some of the hiking around San Diego County and spending quality time with friends and family. Around the holidays I love cooking big meals for all to share.
